Top Reviews From Buyers for Celtic Harp Instrument Latest

Considering that most quality harps cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, this isn’t a bad way to try out the harp. Positives–pleasant sound, easy to hold/play, inexpensive. Negatives–mine had a tiny chip on one corner, but I just put it back with CA glue. The corners of the soundbox were extremely sharp, which probably caused the chip. I lightly sanded each corner to take off the sharp points. Tuning–after a few weeks it is beginning to stay mostly in tune. Seems to be a string issue rather than tuning pins, as the two lowest strings actually go sharp, which tells me the pins are not slipping. Strings are probably the cheapest part of the instrument–WHY are they the wrong colors? If I keep playing I may replace them with real harp strings in the proper colors. The sharping levers work but they don’t stop accurately on a half step so you can’t just flip them up quickly like on a more expensive harp–you have to pluck the string and use your ear to tell when it’s set correctly. Fortunately on a small harp you usually just need two or three at a time. Bottom line–more than a toy, but not a performing instrument. It’s good enough for playing a few tunes at home and/or deciding if you want to pursue the harp.

Great shape, fantastic sound, and good resonance. The only problem is that the string loses its tone way too quickly, I have to tune it before every time I want to play, and after like 30mins after playing the string gets loose and I have to tune again. Not a big problem to me, ain’t no professional just play for fun
